For every Bhutanese, their first love is their favorite Bhutanese cuisine. We love what we make and eat. It is something I have deep root and knowledge with. I also have this deep passion for eating. Therefore, I chose this topic to rant today. As a certified Bhutanese cuisine lover, I can make sure that I know enough to talk about it.

Now, let’s talk about some Bhutanese dishes that people are head over heels for. We have Ema datsi, Kewa Datsi, Sikam, Shakam Paa with lom, Gondho ma-ngo, suja, azay, and so many more. These cuisines contain lots of veggie, meats and dairy products which are a die for. We enjoy eating these dishes, especially with red rice and a suja; which is a butter tea. Not only is it tasty while eating, but the visuals of the food are also something that I am very much proud of as a Bhutanese. Just writing about it right now makes my mouth salivate as I can visualize the cozy food I would eat if I was not at the college. As a Bhutanese, I take a big big pride when it comes to talking about our local cuisines, which are very special to me. I love food, but I especially LOVE my local cuisines a little more. It makes my soul fill with warmth, and no matter how far I’m from my home and family, these local Bhutanese cuisines are what makes me feel home and loved deeply.
